Hola amigas: pues ya es dia de otro reto mas en Latinas en America, que les parecio el reto de las mariposas? muy facil, cierto. Gracias a todas las chicas que participaron, fueron muy lindas interpretaciones, muchas felicidades a la chica ganadora y las chicas del top 3!! El nuevo reto consiste en usa metal en tu proyecto, a buscar dentro de sus curiosidades y a usarlo para este reto!!!

Hello friends: We have another challenge in Latinas en America, what did you think about the butterfly challenge? very easy. Thanks to all the girls who participated your projects were very nice interpretations; congratulations to the winning girl and girls in the top 3!  Today’s challenge consist in use metal on your project.

Yo use papel aluminio para este proyecto, para que pareciera un espejo. Me encanto el resultado.

I used aluminum paper in this project, to have the look of a mirror, I love the result!!!!

Hice una tarjeta llama “Pop up card” el tutorial lo encontre en Whiff of Joy, la verdad que queda muy linda la tarjeta y es muy facil de hacer.

I made a “Pop up Card”, you can find the tutorial at Whiff of Joy it is so cute and very easy to do.

Como saben me encantan los stickles y en particular este Star dust, el cual aplique en el sueter del digi para que le diera luz y cierto grado de elegancia, espero haberlo logrado!!

As you know I love the stickles and in special Star dust, which I applied to the digi to give  some sparkle and chic look to it.

Butterflies Release

Note: Be prepare for a long post, take your time to read, you will love it!! I have tree cards I'll be participating at different challenges with the 3!!

Hello friends: Today it’s a Butterfly Release Day at Platypus Creek Digitals !! yes, we have 2 new digi stamps and one new cutting file. Let me show you first the svg Butterflies file, as you can see them, are gorgeous!!!! I made a twisted easel card, you can find the tutorial that I used here: All my sketches and tutorials. (There are a lot of tutorials, but this is the one that I used).

Hola amigas:Hoy es día de estreno de mariposas en Platypus Creek Digitals !! Sí, tenemos 2 nuevos sellos digitales y un archivo de corte nuevo. Primero les presento las mariposas que vienen en corte svg, son hermosas no?, a mi me encantarons, son 2 tipos. Hice una llamada twisted easel card, y pueden encontrar el tutorial que yo use aqui: All my sketches and tutorials. (Pueden encontar un sin fin de tutoriales en la red, pero yo use este).

BUTTERFLY SVG FILE CARD No. 1  

Beautiful butterflies!!! You will love them!!  To make this butterflies (bottom) I used DCWV pattern paper of the Nana’s Nursery stack, and half pink pearls to simulate the body. For the butterflies on the twisted side, I used pattern paper of Stamping Paper, and half gray pearls to the body. I put distress ink around the edges.

Las mariposas estan hermosas!!! Les encantaran!! Para hacer estas mariposas (abajo) use paperl decorado DCWV del paquete The Nana’s Nursery stack, y medias perlas rosas para simular el cuerpo. Para las mariposas que estan el la parte doblada de la tarjeta use papel de Stamping Paper, medias perlas grises para el cuerpo. Y para darle el toque final puse distress ink alrededor de las mariposas.

Here is the card closed, I love how it looks!!! Well what can I say!! I love it!! The pattern paper used for the card is from DCWV, The Far East stack, great for Shabby Chic Vintage Style!!! Well, that’s what I think!!

Aqui esta la tarjeta cerrada!! Se ve hermosa!! Bueno que puedo yo decir!! me encanto!! El papel decorado de la base de la tarjeta es de DCWV del set The Far East Stack, ideal para el estilo Shabby Chic Vintage, bueno eso el lo que digo yo!!!

Now, is the time to show you the butterflies digital stamps!!! First I have Ulysses Butterfly. I made a Shadow box, you can find the tutorial here: Kylies Kraft Room. (As I told you before, you can find many tutorials on the web, but this is the one that I used).

Ahora, es tiempo de mostrarte las mariposas en estampas digitales!!! Primero tenemos a Ulysses Butterlfy. Hice una “shadow box”, pueden encontrar el tutorial aqui: Kylies Kraft Room. (Como les he dicho anteriormente, pueden encontrar muchos tutoriales en la red, pero yo use este).

I printed the Ulysses Butterfly digi stamp in watercolor paper (Strathmore), colored it with copics (RV13, BV01) and put stickles on it.

Imprimi la estampa digital Ulysses Butterfly en papel watercolor (Strathmore), la pinte con copics (RV13, BV01) y al final le puse stickles encima.

Here is the shadow box closed. Aqui esta la caja-tarjeta cerrada.

BIRDWING BUTTERLY DIGI STAMP CARD No. 3

Let me show you another project using the new butterfly digi stamp, I made a Side Step Card, you can find the tutorial here: Craft Doc.

Permitanme mostrarles este otro proyecto que hice para el lanzamiento de las mariposas digitales, hice una “Side Step Card”, pueden encontrar el tutorial aqui: Craft Doc.

Very easy to make too!! I used pattern paper of DCWV, Nana’s Kids Stack, white cardstock (The Recollections), the mini stamps of Studio G.

Muy facil de hacer tambien!!! Use papel decoradop de DCWV, Nana’s Kids Stack, cardstock blanco (The Recollections), un set the sellos mini de Studio G.

I printed the digi stamps on cream cardstock, and I sprayed on them different colors of homemade glimmer mist, you can’t tell by the picture but the look gorgeous!!

Imprimi las estampas digitales en cardstock color crema, les puse diferentes colores de glimmer mist hecho en casa, no se puede ver bien en la foto pero en vivo se ven hermosas!!!

Hello friends: Thanks for your participation at the Color Combo!!! Now we bring you a fun challenge, you have to do something for the boys, easy, isn’t?

Hola amigas: Muchas gracias por su participacion en el reto de colores!! El dia de hoy les traemos un reto divertido, tienen que hacer un proyecto dedicado a los ninos o a los hombres de su casa!! facil, no?

I choose to do this Beer Glass Card, I love it!!! It is different, funny and easy to do!!! I only used yellow and white cardstock (The Recollections), white gel pen, snow marker, black ink stazon and the sentiment from The Stamps of Life, set pops2eat.

Yo elegi hacer una tarjeta en forma de vaso de cerveza, me encanto!!! Es diferente, divertida y muy facil de hacer!! Solo use cardstock amarillo y blanco (The Recollections), gel pen blanca, snow marker, tinta negra marca stazon y el titulo de la tarjeta que significa "te mereces un regalo” de la marca The Stamps of Life, y el set es pops2eat.

To have the beer foam effect (TOP TIP), I used the snow marker (which I have since last year for Christmas cards) , I love to add textures to my projects!! 

Para darle ese efecto de espuma de cerveza use una pluma llamada “snow marker” (es una pluma, lo agitas, lo aplicas en el papel, lo dejas secar le pones la pistola de colar y listo, se esponja), me encanta aplicar diferentes texturas a mis proyectos!!!

Also, we have a release of a digital stamp call Grid Iron Oliver, very cute!! I made an Origami Gift Card Holder, I found the tutorial at Whiff of Joy, very easy to do!!

Tambien, tenemos estreno de una estampa digital llamada Grid Iron Oliver, muy linda!!! Para este proyecto, realize una tarjeta que sostiene o lleva dentro una tarjeta de ragalo, encontre el tutorial en Whiff of Joy, muy facil de hacer!!!

I colored the digi stamp with prismacolors and I used the Chargers of San Diego Uniform color of 1978-83 (blue and yellow); since I live in San Diego was the first Football team to come to my mind. Here is the Origami Gift Card Holder opened. The pattern paper is from Stampin Up.

Para colorear la estampa digital use prismacolors, y use los colores del equipo de los Cargadores de San Diego de 1978-83 (azul cielo y amarillo); como vivo en San Diego, fue el primer equipo de football americano que se me vino a la mente. El papel decorado es de Stampin Up.
