May Anything Goes at SnapDragon Snippets

Hello friends: Welcome to our First Challenge at SnapDragon Snippets Blog !!! The theme is Anything Goes. As I was raised in Mexico and went to the University in Puebla which I consider my second home immediately came to my mind the date 5 de Mayo. In Puebla, every year there is a parade to celebrate the date where every one participates in it; students, teachers, government workers, soldiers; they do representations of the battle, decorate trucks, they dress according the the date. Every one goes to see the parade, the government places chairs for the visitors and spectators and it may last up to 2 hours, it is a great show; I went every year to see the parade the 5 years I lived there (sight). Well, now entering into the challenge, let me tell you which files I used to do this project.

SnapDragon Snippets - 3D Garden Hat- Cowboy Boot - Build a Banner -Happy 5 de Mayo - Ruthie Lopez - My Hobby My Art

For the boot I used the file 3D Cowboy Boot, I cut it on black cardstock, assembled which is very easy and here it is!!!! You can put chocolates or sweet goodies inside.

For the hat I used the file 3D Garden Hat; cut it on black cardstock, I didn´t use the top part of the hat to not have the cutouts that suggest straw weave for the garden look and leave it plane to give a mariachi hat look. I bought the fabric that has the Mexico word on it and the golden cord in a fabric store in Tijuana put it all together and here it is my Mariachi Hat.

And as a last but no less important the card that says Happy 5 de Mayo. The banners were made with the file Build a Banner, added Faux Stitches with gold pen and a we have great card for a great celebration.
